§ 150.07 BASIS FOR ESTABLISHING THE SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD AREAS.
   (A)      (A)   The special flood hazard areas are those identified under the Cooperating Technical State (CTS) agreement between the State of North Carolina and FEMA in its Flood Insurance Study (FIS) and its accompanying Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM), for the Town of Murphy dated November 19, 2008, which are adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this chapter.
   (B)   The initial Flood Insurance Rate Maps are as follows for the jurisdictional areas at the initial date: Cherokee County Unincorporated Area, dated February 2, 1989.
   (C)   The standards in this section shall apply to all property within the special flood hazard area, as shown on the most recently adopted Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) for the Town of Murphy. The applicable FIRMs are incorporated by reference automatically into the Town of Murphy zoning map. The Floodplain Administrator shall maintain a digital or paper copy of the applicable FIRMs for public inspection.
