(A) The customer, upon approval of his or her application for water service, shall pay to the Municipal Clerk-Treasurer a tap fee as set by resolution of the Village Board for the expense of processing the application and tapping the water main. The customer shall pay the cost of all materials required for the village to run the service to the property line. The customer shall then be required to pay the expense of procuring the materials required, as well as the services of a plumber, and shall pay all other costs of installation from the property line. All water service lines shall be three-fourths-inch lines, unless otherwise approved by action of the Village Board of Trustees.
(B) All water furnished by the village shall be delivered through and measured by permanently affixed water meters, installed by or under the direction of the village or its agents, at the consumer’s expense, and no water connections shall be allowed to remain or new water service furnished until water meters have been installed to measure the water furnished.
