§ 32.02 POLICE RESERVE.
   (A)   Establishment of Police Reserve. There is hereby established for the town authority for the appointment of not more than four police reserves who shall be collectively designated as the Town Police Reserve.
   (B)   Appointment of members. Each officer of the Town Police Reserve shall be appointed by the Town Council subject to any qualifications as may be provided by the laws of the state or provided by rules established for the Town Police Department.
   (C)   Compensation and benefits. No officer of the Police Reserve shall receive compensation for his or her services. The Town Council may appropriate sums for benefits for officers of the Town Police Reserve as the Council, at its discretion, may provide under the authority of I.C. 36-8-3-20, including fixture amendments of replacements of the statute.
   (D)   Powers and duties. Officers of the Town Police Reserve shall have all the police powers and duties of regular members of a police department, except as limited by the laws of the state or by the rules of the Town Police Department. Qualifications, powers, duties and conduct of officers of the Police Reserve shall be subject to any and all rules as may be promulgated by the Town Council.
