(A) The sales permit shall be paid by every sole proprietor, partnership or corporation pursuing a non-permanent commercial concern, who shall pay to the town, at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer or Town Police Department, the sum of $100 for the privilege of pursuing commercial concerns for a period not exceeding 24 hours; the sum of $150 for the privilege of conducting commercial concerns for a period not exceeding 48 hours; and the sum of $300 for the privilege of conducting commercial concerns for a period of time up to, but not exceeding, 30 days.
(B) The permit shall not issue until the permit fee specified herein is paid in full either in cash or money order. No checks shall be accepted in payment for the permit. After the permit has been paid for and issued, and identification card or cards approved or prepared by the Clerk-Treasurer’s office or Town Police Department are provided, the identification card must be prominently displayed by each person while conducting the commercial activity.
(C) The town reserves the right not to renew the permit or to revoke the permit upon unverified complaint of any citizen or upon recommendation of the Town Police Department or any officer of the town.
(D) The holder of a permit which expires or is revoked shall surrender all identification cards to the office of the Clerk-Treasurer or Town Police Department upon demand, or within 24 hours of expiration or revocation, whichever is sooner.
