(A) All police vehicles of the town shall be marked.
(B) No passengers shall be permitted in police vehicles, except:
(1) Adults under arrest;
(2) Juveniles in custody for a violation;
(3) An officer or employee of the town authorized by the Town Council; or
(4) In case of a bona fide emergency in which the passenger is under threat of serious bodily injury.
(C) In addition to the authorized official and de minimis personal use of his or her assigned police vehicle, as established under the town’s Personnel Policy Handbook, the Town Marshal shall be permitted to use his or her assigned vehicle not more than two days per week for travel to and from the County Courthouse and for other personal use within a radius of 15 miles from the corporation limits of the town.
(D) All police officers of the town shall promptly acknowledge receipt of a copy of this section.
