§ 155.06 SIGNS NOT IN USE.
   Any sign now or hereafter existing which no longer advertises a bona fide business conducted, or a product, or an available service, shall be taken down and removed by the owner, agent, or person having the beneficial use of the premises upon which such sign may be found within ninety days after written notification from the Mayor, or authorized agent, and upon failure to comply with such notice within the time specified in such order, the Mayor, or authorized agent, is hereby authorized to cause removal of such sign and any expense incidental thereto shall be paid by the owner of the premises on which such sign is located. Such costs may be charged to the owner of the property involved by a special assessment on the land on which the sign is located and collected in the manner provided for special assessments.
