It shall be the duty of the owner and occupants of every lot, building, structure, or property in the city to have placed thereon in a place visible from the street, or if a building is 200 feet or more from a street or road, the assigned number shall be displayed at the entrance to the access road or driveway to the building, lot, structure, or property by means of a separate marker, figures at least l-l/4 inch by 2 inches high, showing the number of the building, lot, property, or structure.
