All lots, buildings, structures, and properties in the city shall be numbered in accordance with the following plan:
(A) There is adopted a grid system as follows: The county-wide numbering grid system shall consist of a series of parallel lines running generally east and west and north and south. The system is founded upon baselines from which number lines designated by hundreds are assigned to the parallel grid lines.
(B) The two baselines to be used in locating the parallel lines and the grid system shall be a line running north and south and a line running east and west which shall pass through a reference point; this reference point shall be the physical intersection point of Highway 61 (Preston Highway) and Highway 44 located within the city limits of the City of Shepherdsville, as of January l, 1985. All buildings, lots, structures, and properties shall be consistently and consecutively numbered from the appropriate baseline in the manner described in division (C) of this section.
(C) Each building, lot, structure, or property located on or having an access road or driveway intersecting a road designated as a north-south road shall be assigned a north or south number with reference to its distance, north or south, of the baseline described in division (B) running east and west. Each building located on or having an access road or driveway intersecting a road designated an east-west road shall be assigned an east or west number with reference to its distance, east or west, of the baseline described in division (B) running north and south. Even numbers shall be assigned to buildings located on or having an access road or driveway intersecting the north side of an east-west road or the west side of a north-south road. Odd numbers shall be assigned to buildings, lots, structures, or properties located on or having an access road or driveway intersecting the south side of an east-west road or the east side of a north-south road.
