§ 51.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   “ASHES.” Residue from fires for cooking and for heating buildings.
   “CALENDAR YEAR.” January 1 through December 31.
   “DUMPSTERS.” Storage container units (with or without wheels) designed for waste materials of a size greater than one hundred (100) gallons. This also includes any compactor unit designed to compact waste and is of a size greater than one hundred (100) gallons.
   “GARBAGE.” Wastes resulting from the handling, preparation, cooking, and consumption of food; wastes from the handling, storage, and sale of produce.
   “REFUSE.” Combustible trash and including, but not limited to, paper, cartons, boxes, barrels, wood, excelsior, tree branches, yard trimmings, wood furniture, and bedding. Noncombustible trash including, but not limited to, metals, tin cans, metal furniture, dirt, small quantities of rock and pieces of concrete, glass, crockery, or other mineral waste. Street rubbish including, but not limited to, street sweepings, dirt, leaves, catch-basin dirt, and the contents of litter receptacles. Provided, “REFUSE” shall not include earth and wastes from building operations, nor shall it include solid wastes resulting from industrial processes and manufacturing operations such as food processing wastes, boiler-house cinders, lumber, scraps, and shavings.
   “RESIDENTIAL ZONES.” Properties zoned R1, R2, R3 and R4.
   “TEMPORARY OR PORTABLE STORAGE.” Any storage device or other container or receptacle (with or without wheels) designed and used primarily for the temporary storage of household goods, personal items, building materials, and other material on a limited basis.
