ORDINANCE NO. 2020-16

AN ORDINANCE ENACTING AND ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENT TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MT. WASHINGTON, KENTUCKY.

   WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing, Cincinnati, Ohio, has completed the 2020, Supplement S-31 to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Mt. Washington, which supplement contains all ordinances of a general nature enacted since the adoption of the 2019 Supplement S-29 and S-30 to the Code of Ordinances of this municipality; and

   WHEREAS, said American Legal Publishing Systems has recommended the revision or addition of certain sections of the Code of Ordinances which are based on or make reference to sections of the Kentucky code; and

   WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Council to accept these updated sections in accordance with the changes of the new law of the Commonwealth of Kentucky;

   NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Mt. Washington, Commonwealth of Kentucky.

   SECTION 1: That the 2020 Supplement S-31 to the Code of Ordinance of the City of Mount Washington, as submitted by American Legal Publishing, is hereby adopted by reference as if set out in its entirety.

   SECTION 2: Any provision of this ordinance, which is in conflict with any ordinance passed heretofore, except those specifically enumerated, is hereby repealed and held for naught.

   SECTION 3: Should any section, clause, line, paragraph, or any other part of the ordinance be held unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the same shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance.

   SECTION 4: This ordinance shall become effective upon its passage and shall be published as required by law.

First Reading:   July 27, 2020          

Second Reading:   August 24, 2020

Adopted this 24th day of August 2020.
