1182.01 PURPOSE.

   The purpose of Sections 1182.01 to 1182.09 inclusive is to promote the public health, safety and welfare by regulating amusement arcades where mechanically or electronically operated amusement devices are kept, operated, or maintained. It is further the intent of these sections to coordinate the provisions of this chapter with the requirements of Chapter 747 , Mechanical Amusement Devices of the Codified Ordinances of Mount Vernon, governing the licensing and regulation of mechanical amusement devices in such manner that, in the event of any conflict between the respective regulations, the more restrictive requirement or the more severe penalty shall prevail. The following regulations shall apply to amusement arcades as defined.
