The following definitions shall apply in the interpretation of this Zoning Ordinance:
(a) “Dish” means that part of a satellite signal-receiving antenna which is shaped like a saucer or dish, whether it is spherical, parabolical or similar in shape.
(b) “Dish measurements” for the purpose of this chapter includes:
(1) “Small dish” means not more than 18 inches across.
(2) “Large dish” means greater than 18 inches across but not larger than 12 feet.
(c) “Dish-type satellite signal receiving antennas” includes earth stations or ground stations, whether functioning as part of a basic service system, direct broadcast satellite system, or multi-point distribution service system and means one, or a combination of two or more of the following:
(1) A signal receiving device such as a dish antenna whose purpose is to receive communications or signals from earth-orbiting satellites or similar sources.
(2) A low-noise amplifier (LNA) whose purpose is to boost, magnify, store, transfer or transmit signals.
(3) A coaxial cable, whose purpose is to convey or transmit signals to a receiver.
(d) “Receiver” means the apparatus whose purpose is to obtain a signal from a cable or other like source and transform it to a television signal.
