The following individuals shall be required to file a financial disclosure statement:
(A) Elected officers;
(B) Candidates for elected office;
(C) Members of boards and commissions which set tax rates, have procurement authority, or vote to adopt budgets.
(D) The financial disclosure statement should be filed annually with the City Ethics Commission by all filers who are subject to the jurisdiction of the Commission. Failure to do so will result in a fine of $100.00.
(E) Any officer or employee, or any member of his immediate family, of the city government who shall have any private financial interest, directly or indirectly, in any contract or matter pending before or within any department or agency of the city government shall disclose such private interest to the local ethics commission.
(F) If the Mayor, City Council Member, or City Attorney has a private interest in any matter pending before city council, he shall disclose such private interest on the records of the Council and shall disqualify himself from participating in any decision or vote relating thereto.
(G) Any elected official of an independent agency or special district to which this chapter applies who shall have any private financial interest, directly or indirectly, in any contract or matter pending before or within such independent agency or special district shall disclose such private interest to the governing body of such agency or district.
