(A) Smoking prohibited. No person shall smoke any tobacco or other substance in any building or other structure owned or occupied in any manner by the city.
(B) Smokers removed from buildings and structures. Any person smoking in violation of the provisions herein shall be removed from the building or structure, and permitted to return only after the smoking materials have been extinguished.
(C) Signs prohibiting smoking. The Chief of Police is authorized, but not required unless directed by the Mayor, to procure and posts signs containing the words “No Smoking-City Ordinance,” or the universal symbol for no smoking, or other language that clearly shows that smoking is prohibited in a particular city-owned or city-occupied building or structure.
(D) Penalty. In addition to being removed from the building or structure for smoking therein, any person who violates any of the provisions of this section shall pay a fine of $100 for each separate violation.
