For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE. An employee who has been on active duty regularly, working in excess of 32 hours per week for more than 26 consecutive weeks.
HE or HIS. Shall apply to both male and female employees.
MEMBER. A member of the Pension Fund of either of the Police or Fire Departments, when used in conjunction with an employee of those Departments.
PART-TIME OR TEMPORARY EMPLOYEE. An employee who has not been on active duty regularly, working in excess of 32 hours per week for more than 26 consecutive weeks, or an employee who works seasonally.
