(A) The charges for towing abandoned vehicles or parts in the city shall be not more than the amount charged by the towing company used by the city, which amount is currently $60, per tow.
(B) The storage charges for abandoned vehicles or parts stored under authority of this chapter shall be not more than the amount charged by the towing company used by the city, which amount is currently $35, per day.
(C) A notice fee of $50 shall be assessed for every abandoned vehicle or parts towed under this chapter. The notice fee covers only the cost of the notice tag (I.C. 9-22-1-11) and the cost of the written abandoned vehicle report and photographs, if taken (I.C. 9-22-1-12). All other costs incidental to removal, towing and storage are in addition to, and not included in, the notice fee.
(D) The Board of Public Works and Safety shall have the authority to amend the towing and storage charges and notice fee from time to time and shall notify the Bureau of Motor Vehicles of such amendments, if such notification is required by I.C. 9-22-1.
