§ 72.99 PENALTY.
   (A)   Fines. Every person or entity who admits a violation or is found to have violated any of the provisions of this chapter for which another penalty is not provided shall be assessed and pay a fine not to exceed $2,500 for each violation of this chapter. A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day that a violation occurs or continues.
   (B)   Removal of vehicle. In addition to the foregoing penalty, any police officer, upon discovering any vehicle parked or stopped in violation of this traffic code, may remove the vehicle or cause the same to be removed by private towing contractors approved by the Board of Public Works and Safety to an appropriate vehicle impoundment site where the vehicle shall be released only upon payment for the cost of towing the vehicle away from the place where it was illegally parked or stopped, together with the cost to store it.
