Storm water and all other unpolluted drainage shall be discharged to sewers specifically designated storm sewers, or to a natural outlet approved by the city. New construction of storm sewers which are tributary to existing downstream combined sewers shall be designed to minimize or delay inflow contribution to the existing combined sewer system. Industrial cooling water or unpolluted process water may be discharged on approval of the city to a storm sewer, combined sewer, or natural outlet.
