§ 130.03 DANGEROUS WEAPONS; DISCHARGE.
   (A)   Prohibition. It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge any gun, pistol or firearm of any kind, or discharge an air rifle or pistol of any description, by whatever name known, by means of compressed air, compressed gas, springs, center fire, rim fire, or any other means capable of discharging pellets or any solid object, or discharge an arrow or other object from a bow or cross bow by human or mechanical means:
      (1)   At a velocity in excess of 300 feet per second and within 300 feet of any business, house or structure within the city limits;
      (2)   On or across any public square, street or alley of the city limits;
      (3)   Across the boundary of the tract of another owners property without the permission of the land owner; or
      (4)   Within or across any city park or cemetery.
   (B)   Exceptions. This section does not apply to:
      (1)   Law enforcement personnel or animal control officers in performance of their duties;
      (2)   For the proper and legitimate use of a firearm by a citizen described for the protection of a person and/or property;
      (3)   If a location is permitted through inspection by the Chief of Police under division (B)(1); or
      (4)   As amended under Tex. Local Gov’t Code Chapter 229.
   (C)   Penalty. Any person in violation of this section shall be fined as provided in § 10.99.
