§ 100.04 PROPER ALARM SYSTEM OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE.
   An alarm user shall:
   (A)   Maintain the premises and the alarm system in a manner that will:
      (1)   Minimize or eliminate false alarms; and
      (2)   Ensure proper operation of the alarm system.
   (B)   Train each employee and all other persons who operate the alarm system or have access to enter the alarm site during closed hours when a burglar alarm system is likely to be armed how to properly operate the alarm system.
   (C)   Respond or cause a representative to respond to the alarm site within 30 minutes when notified by the city to deactivate a malfunctioning alarm system, to provide access to the premises, or to provide security for the premises.
   (D)   In the event that an alarm system is activated on the premises, immediately report or have an alarm business charged with the responsibility of notification immediately report such alarm to the Police Department Communications Center. No owner, occupant, or alarm business shall delay or interfere with the immediate notification of the alarm system activation to the Police Department Communication Center. (Exception: With prior written notification a burglar or holdup alarm user, or an alarm business charged with the responsibility of notification, may stop or delay police department notification until they can locate and correct the source of false alarms.)
   (E)   Refrain from manually activating an alarm system for any reason other than the occurrence of an event that the alarm system was intended to report.
   (F)   Notify the Police Department Communications Center prior to activating an alarm system for maintenance, testing or fire drills.
   (G)   Report any change of information on the alarm system permit to an Alarm Administrator within ten days of the change, such as the alarm business is responsible for monitoring and/or repairs, the contact person's name and phone number.
