(A) The purpose of this chapter is to encourage alarm users and alarm businesses to maintain operational reliability and properly use alarm systems and to reduce or eliminate false alarms.
(B) This chapter governs alarm systems intended to summon police or fire responses, requires permits, provides for penalties for violations, establishes a system of administration, and sets conditions for suspension or revocation of permits.
