(A) A public hearing shall be held by the City Council no earlier than 14 days after mailing of notification of public hearing to abutting property owners as shown on petition and publication in the local newspaper.
(B) Adoption of an ordinance for the street name change shall be required by Council action to be effective upon notification in writing to property owners and the following departments and/or entities:
(1) Director of Public Works;
(2) Director of Fire Services;
(3) Director of Police Services;
(4) City Planner;
(5) Chief Building Official;
(6) United States Post Office;
(7) Others as may be determined appropriate (all public safety agencies, chamber of commerce, school district and the like).
