§ 98.105 APPLICATION.
   (A)   An application may be filed with the City Secretary in writing by complying with one or both of the following:
      (1)   A petition signed by not less than 55% of all property owners abutting subject city street. Owners of such abutting property shall be determined by the current city ad valorem tax roll; or
      (2)   An application from an authorized officer or attorney representing a governmental subdivision, agency or department.
   (B)   The application (petition) shall provide:
      (1)   The present official city name of the street;
      (2)   The proposed new name;
      (3)   The name of each person, group, agency or entity requesting the street name change;
      (4)   The name, address and telephone number of one person with authority to represent binding commitments and take official action relative to such street name change on behalf of each incorporated association, group or entity applying;
      (5)   The reason(s), from those listed herein, claimed for such street name change;
      (6)   Name, address and telephone number for all abutting property owners shall be shown on the application as indicated on the current city tax roll.
   (C)   The application (petition) must be accompanied by a processing fee in the sum of $50.00 (payable without right of any refund) to the city. This fee shall be waived for all governmental subdivisions, agencies or departments.
   (D)   Exception. An application may not be filed to change a street name that has been previously given recognition by City Council.
