There is adopted by the city for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion that certain code known as the International Fire Code 2018 Edition, together with local amendments as the same now exists or may hereafter be amended. The same is adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, and the provisions of such code shall be controlling within the limits of the city, provided, however, that in the event of any conflict between the provisions of this code of ordinances, state law or city ordinance, rule or regulation with the provisions of the code adopted by this section, the provisions of this code of ordinances, state law or city ordinance, rule or regulation shall prevail and be controlling.
