§ 70.46 GENERAL POWERS AND DUTIES OF CITY ENGINEER RELATIVE TO DEVICES.
   The City Engineer, with the approval of the City Manager, shall place and maintain traffic-control signs, signals, and devices when and as required under this chapter to make effective the provisions of this chapter and may place and maintain such additional traffic-control devices as he or she may deem necessary to regulate traffic under this chapter or under state law or to guide or warn traffic. It shall be the duty of the City Engineer and the City Manager to supervise the installation and proper timing and maintenance of the traffic control devices.
