§ 51.55 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them.
   APARTMENT HOUSE. A single or multiple structure constituting a collection of dwellings for housing a number of people grouped in three or more families, assigned to different sections in the same structure or structures.
   BATHROOM UNIT. A unit consisting of one commode, one wash basin and one bathtub or shower stall.
   BUSINESS AND COMMERCIAL CONCERNS. Any privately owned going business operated for the purpose of private gain.
   FAMILY. Any number of individuals living together as a single housekeeping unit.
   FIXTURES. Bathtub, shower bath, lavatory, commode, laundry tub, washing machine, urinal, sink, floor drains, drinking fountain and all other plumbing fixtures through which waste water or other disposal is conveyed into the sanitary sewer system.
   ONE-FAMILY RESIDENCE. A building used exclusively as living quarters for a family and occupied by only a single family.
   ROOMING HOUSE. A house or building where there are one or more bedrooms which the proprietor uses for the purpose of furnishing lodging to such persons he or she shall choose, for which lodging he or she receives a compensation.
   SANITARY SEWAGE. A combination of the water-carried waste from residences, commercial and business buildings, institutions and industrial establishments.
   SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM. The system of the city consisting of disposal plant, gathering lines, lift stations and all other facilities thereof with which sanitary sewage is deposited for transportation, treatment and ultimate disposal.
   SOLID WASTES. Those wastes resulting from the maintenance and operation of a residence, business or commercial concern, charitable institution, industrial and manufacturing concerns and any other endeavor which, if deposited into the sanitary sewage conduits on private properties and into the sanitary sewer lines of the city, cannot be conveyed to such conduits and lines bearing substance without clogging or blocking such private conduits and public sanitary sewer lines.
   TWO-FAMILY RESIDENCE. A building used exclusively as living quarters for two families and occupied by not more than two families.
