All connections made with the city sanitary sewer system shall be made under the direction of the Director of Utilities. Upon completion of such work, the Director of Utilities shall be notified when such work is ready for inspection. All such work shall be left uncovered for examination until inspected and approved; provided, however, that such inspection shall be made within 24 hours after such notification.
