§ 116.02 APPLICATION.
   (A)   This chapter shall apply to all special events in the town involving an outdoor activity on commercial, institutional or governmental property and includes residential properties in the case of film and television productions.
      (1)   All such activities must be of a temporary nature and cannot become permanent.
      (2)   All such events and activities shall be allowed only upon approval, as required, and the issuance of a special event permit.
      (3)   Failure to comply with the requirements set forth in this chapter, or with the conditions mandated on an approved permit, may result in denial of future permit applications, staff and supply charges for remedial work resulting from an event organizer’s negligence, and/or additional security deposit and documentation requirements for any future event organized by the same event organizer.
   (B)   Note that normally any special event permit involving loudspeakers or amplified music systems will not be allowed after 7:00 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday, and after 9:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
   (C)   Town staff may at their discretion consider an application that does not comply with deadlines published within the application’s event categories, and if it is considered, all other requirements of the permit application and ordinance shall apply. Applicants in this circumstance will be informed of the decision as expeditiously as possible.
   (D)   This chapter shall not apply to temporary use permits pursuant to Chapter 156, and parades, demonstrations, public assemblies and picketing pursuant to Chapter 94.
