For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE. Any alcoholic, spirituous, and malt liquors, beer, ale, porter, wine and liquors whatsoever which can be used as a beverage and which, when drunk to excess, will produce intoxication.
BEER, ALE, PORTER AND WINE. These terms are defined as stated in S.C. Code § 61-40-10 and as amended from time to time.
JUVENILE/MINOR. A person under the age of 21 years.
PLACE. Any specific designated area indoors or outdoors, including but not limited to homes, hotels, halls, auditoriums, parks, vacant lots, garages and the like.
RELIGIOUS CEREMONY OR PURPOSE. Customary activity pursuant to and authorized by a recognized and established church of denomination.
RESIDENCE. A place where one actually lives or has his or her home.
SOCIAL GATHERING. A party or get-together of persons for any reason, including but not limited to enjoyment, companionship, or hospitality.
