The town recognizes the importance and necessity of having rules and regulations established for the towing of vehicles in general within the town and to also establish uniform procedures for towing when such services are required by the Town Police Department or for town-owned or leased vehicles. Safety, convenience and efficiency and the general welfare of its police officers and citizens, in addition to any persons temporarily in the town seeking towing or wrecker services, is of utmost importance.
