General elections will be held in the town on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November in odd-numbered years. Offices for Mayor and Councilmembers filled in the election of 2004 will be up for election in 2009 and every four years thereafter. Offices for Mayor and Councilmembers filled in the election of 2006 will be up for election in 2011 and every four years thereafter, saving and excepting one Council seat filled as a two-year vacancy, which will be up for election in 2009 and every four years thereafter.
