§ 34.05 CHAIN OF COMMAND; RANKS AND GRADES.
   (A)   All personnel of the Police Department shall be subject to the supervision and control of the Chief of Police and shall perform such general and special duties and acts as the Chief may from time to time require and direct, subject to the policies, rules and regulations of the town. In the event of the absence or incapacity of the Chief of Police, the Police Department chain of command shall be followed.
   (B)   Members of the Police Department subordinate to the Chief of Police shall be appointed, promoted, and demoted in rank or grade by the Chief of Police.
