§ 34.04 EMPLOYMENT OF SPECIAL POLICE OFFICERS.
   The Police Chief, upon the approval of the Mayor, shall, whenever he or she deems it necessary, appoint temporarily such number of special police officers as may in the Chief’s sound discretion be deemed necessary for carrying out and enforcing any or all ordinances of the municipality for the preservation of the public health, safety, and general welfare, subject to availability of funds for such purpose.
