§ 33.11 DRIVING OF VEHICLES WHILE RESPONDING TO FIRE ALARMS OR EMERGENCIES.
   (A)   When answering a fire alarm, medical assist, rescue or other emergency, members of the Fire Department will proceed to the scene of the fire, medical assist, rescue or other emergency, as instructed by the Chief, and shall observe all traffic regulations, provided drivers of town vehicles equipped to meet the requirements for, and duly designated as, emergency vehicles as defined in S.C. Code § 56-5-170, shall observe the traffic regulations applicable to such authorized emergency vehicles.
   (B)   Vehicles and apparatus of the Fire Department shall be driven only by members of the Fire Department.
