§ 33.07 LOCAL INSPECTOR OF BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS.
   (A)   The Chief of the Fire Department is designated the local Inspector of Buildings and Grounds, with respect to fire hazards and safety, and it shall be his or her duty to make reports to the Mayor, the Town Administrator and Council, of the condition of such buildings and grounds he or she has inspected.
   (B)   The Chief of the Fire Department is also designated as the local Inspector of Buildings with respect to inquiries into the origin of fires within the municipality and reporting thereon to law enforcement, other fire departments, insurance companies or their agents as required by law, and in this capacity the Chief shall have the powers and perform the duties prescribed for local inspectors of buildings in S.C. Code §§ 5-25-160 through 5-25-210.
