(A) The Fire Department shall provide comprehensive programs and services to the municipality, including but not be limited to, fire prevention and inspection, fire suppression, emergency medical assists to the sick and injured, hazardous materials response. weapons of mass destruction response, shipboard firefighting, confined space rescue, and other related emergency operations and functions approved by Council.
(B) The Chief of the Fire Department shall ensure that the Department trains on and follows the National Incident Command System and establishes written standard operating procedures for general and specific duties and responses encountered when responding to fire, medical assist, rescue or other emergency management and mitigation functions where their services are used.
(C) The Fire Department shall identify and design standards of response to risk hazards associated within the town and/or their primary response district.
(D) The Fire Department shall utilize an appropriate system of accountability when operating in an emergency mode.
