5-4-8: POTBELLY PIGS:
   A.   Ownership Authorized: The ownership and possession of a domestic pet known as a potbelly pig which is also commonly known as the Asian potbelly, Vietnamese potbelly, or Chinese potbelly and scientifically known as Sus scrofa biffatus within the Village is hereby authorized.
   B.   Restrictions On Keeping: The possession of said potbelly pigs is limited to one (1) per household. No such pig shall be kept within the Village limits unless it has been spayed or neutered to render it incapable of reproduction. No such potbelly pig shall be kept within the Village limits if it exceeds one hundred (100) pounds in weight or exceeds more than twenty two inches (22") in height at the shoulder.
   C.   Dog Provisions Applicable: In order to ensure that potbelly pigs kept within the Village do not serve as a source of disease or run at large or endanger any person, provisions of this title that apply to dogs shall also apply to potbelly pigs. (1979 Code § 10-3-8)
