5-2-5: ASSAULT AND BATTERY:
   A.   Assault: It shall be unlawful for any person to commit an assault. A person commits an assault when, without lawful authority, he engages in conduct which places another in reasonable apprehension of receiving a battery. (1979 Code § 10-2-13)
   B.   Battery: It shall be unlawful for any person to commit a battery. A person commits a battery if he intentionally or knowingly, without legal justification and by any means: 1) causes bodily harm to an individual; or 2) makes physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with an individual. (1979 Code § 10-2-14)
