All clean and ready to use needles and instruments shall be stored in a closed glass or metal case while not in use. A steam sterilizer shall be provided to properly sterilize all needles and similar instruments before use on any customer, person or patron. Such needles and instruments required to be sterilized shall be so used, handled and temporarily placed during tattooing so that they will not be contaminated. (1979 Code § 3-7-7)
