The State Building Code, Volume I, General Construction, as enacted and published by the State Building Code Council and as modified by the cumulative supplements thereto covering amendments passed and ratified, is hereby adopted by reference as fully as though set forth herein as the building code of the city to the extent such code is applicable for safe and stable design, methods of construction, minimum standards, and use of materials in buildings or structures hereafter erected, enlarged, altered, repaired or otherwise constructed or reconstructed.
