All commercial buildings equipped with an automatic fire sprinkler system and/or building fire alarm system shall provide a “Knox Box” key entry system. This Knox Box shall be mounted near the front entrance of the building. The Knox Box shall be mounted on the wall at five feet above finished floor. This Knox Box shall be ordered through the Fire Department and shall be in place before a certificate of occupancy is issued. Two sets of keys to access the facility or tenant spaces within the facility shall be provided to the Fire Department by the owner/manager or tenant.
