Upon notice of the backflow prevention method required, the owner may request a hearing to review the selection process with Utilities Department personnel. If the owner is dissatisfied with the results of this review, a written request for a hearing must be sent to the Director of Utilities and Deputy Director of Utilities and allow ten days for response for the request. Within ten days of the response, a formal hearing with the Director of Utilities, Deputy Director of Utilities and Cross-Connection ORC will be scheduled. A written response will be issued within ten days after the hearing. The owner shall thereafter have the right of further appeal to the City Council.
