(A) The intent of this chapter in establishing the Shimer Square Mixed-Use District is to provide generalized zoning requirements for the former Shimer College property, comprised of 17 historic buildings, interior pathways, parking and roads, and significant greenspace across 14 acres of park-like campus. Due to its complex design and historic nature, the district requires a flexible zoning approach that will embrace multiple uses and non-traditional bulk requirements for parking, building lots and yard setbacks.
(B) It shall be unlawful to use or permit the use of any building or premises within the district for any purpose other than as listed below.
