There is hereby adopted by reference for the purpose of regulating the construction, alteration, removal, demolition, equipment, use and occupancy of all buildings and structures within the city the following codes and ordinances and the same are hereby adopted as fully as if set out at length herein, and from the date on which this chapter shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controlling in the construction, alteration, use and maintenance of all buildings and structures therein contained within the corporate limits of the city:
(A) The International Building Code, latest edition, including all amendments to said International Building Code as they are adopted by the International Code Council, Inc.;
(B) The National Plumbing Code, latest edition, published by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers;
(C) The National Electrical Code, latest edition, published by the National Fire Protection Association;
(D) The Fire Prevention Code, latest abbreviated edition, recommended by the American Insurance Association; and
(E) A proposed housing ordinance, latest edition, published by the American Public Health Association, Inc.
