§ 1-7-3 SALARIES OF OFFICERS.
   (A)   From and after the passage hereof and as soon as the terms of the officers hereinafter specified begin, the compensation of such officers shall be as follows.
      (1)   The compensation of the Mayor is hereby fixed at the sum of $8,000 per year.
      (2)   The compensation of the City Clerk is hereby fixed at the sum of $6,500 per year.
      (3)   The compensation of the City Treasurer is to be determined by the City Council at the time of appointment of the City Treasurer on or about May 1, 2005.
      (4)   (a)   The compensation of each Alderman is hereby established in the sum of $60 per each Council and committee meeting attended. This division (A)(4)(a) shall be in effect on May 1, 2011 for those Aldermen elected in April 2011, and shall be effective on May 1, 2013 for those Aldermen elected in April 2013.
         (b)   Each Alderman shall be compensated for two absences each year.
      (5)   The Public Health Officer, the sum of $500 per year.
      (6)   The compensation for each Zoning Officer is hereby fixed at the sum of $500 per year.
      (7)   The Zoning Chairperson, the sum of $400 per year.
      (8)   The ESDA Chairperson, the sum of $300 per year.
   (B)   This section shall not affect any present officer or Alderman during the term to which he or she has been appointed or elected; and provided further that such compensation shall be paid to the said Mayor, Alderman, Public Health Officer, Zoning Chairperson and ESDA Chairperson in quarterly payments during each fiscal year hereafter; the City Clerk to be paid in monthly payments each fiscal year hereafter.
   (C)   The salaries of all other officers and employees shall be set by the Mayor and Council in the annual appropriation ordinance.
