§ 1-7-1 OATH; BOND.
   All officers of the city (except Aldermen), whether elected or appointed, shall, before entering upon the duties of their respective offices, take and subscribe the oath required by law of city officers and execute bond with security to be approved by the City Council, payable to the city, conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of their several offices, respectively, and the payment of all moneys received by them respectively, to the Treasurer of the city, or as may be required by law and ordinance of the city, which said bonds shall be filed with the City Clerk (except the bond of the City Clerk, which shall be filed with the City Treasurer), and which said bonds shall be in the several penalties as follows:
