§ 7-8-3 BRIBERY; OFFERING OR ACCEPTING.
   It shall be unlawful for any person:
   (A)   To offer, promise or give to any official, police officer or employee of the city any money, reward, service, privilege or thing of value which he or she may not otherwise lawfully accept, with intent to influence the performance or nonperformance of any official act, function, duty or employment; and
   (B)   To agree to accept, receive or retain any money, reward, service, privilege or thing of value which he or she may not otherwise lawfully accept, knowing or with reason to know that such benefit was offered, promised or given with intent to influence him or her in the performance or nonperformance of any official act, function, duty or employment.
