§ 151.006  OCCUPANCY PERMIT REQUIRED.
   (A)   Hereinafter, upon change of occupants, no residential property shall be occupied or used until an occupancy permit shall have been issued by the Building Official stating that the premises complies with the provisions of this code.
   (B)   Multiple-family complexes which are less than ten years of age, have 50 or more units and contractual maintenance service or maintenance staff available 24 hours a day, shall be inspected on a quarterly basis and are exempt from the requirements of division (A) above. A selected number of vacant units shall be inspected, upon request, once per quarter. A yearly inspection shall be conducted of all common mechanical areas.
   (C)   The fee for the occupancy permit shall be $25 for each dwelling unit occupied. If an inspection certificate has been issued, then an occupant may move in on weekends and holidays when the department, responsible for issuing occupancy permits, is closed. The occupant is required to obtain the written permit three days after the Department is open.
   (D)   Multiple-family complexes as identified in division (B) above shall pay $25 per dwelling unit inspected, at the time of inspection, and $100 for the annual inspection.
