§ 132.122  EXCEPTIONS.
   (A)   This subchapter shall not prohibit the burning of substances by bona fide firefighters for the purpose of training or fire safety demonstrations, provided the Chief of Police receives notice at least 48 hours in advance of the training session or demonstration and so approves. The burning of fields, large quantities of material or buildings requires notice to the Chief of Police at least 14 days in advance. The notice shall specify the location of the training session or demonstration and shall specify the substances to be burned. No automobile may be burned for any purpose within the village limits.
   (B)   This subchapter shall not prohibit controlled recreational fires. Recreational fires may be built on personal property only in fireplaces, firepits or on grill constructed for that purpose, and shall not be left unattended. All recreational fires shall be extinguished before leaving the premises.
