§ 51.35  WATER TAP-ON FEES.
   (A)   Inside village. Applicants for water service inside the village shall pay a charge of $350. All labor and materials such as connecting pipes, meter vaults and covers, valves, and connections shall be paid for by the applicant.
   (B)   Outside village. Applicants for water service outside the village limits shall pay $350 plus the cost of labor and materials, except as noted in division (C) below.
   (C)   North Main Street water main extension. Applicants for water service on the North Main Street water main extension shall pay $2,300 plus the cost of labor and materials beginning May 1, 2014.
   (D)   West Main Street water main extension. Applicants for water service on the West Main Street water main extension shall pay $2,500 plus the cost of labor and materials beginning October 1, 2017.
   (E)   Illinois Plumbing Code. All water tap and service connections made to the mains of the waterworks system of the village shall conform to the regulations of this code of ordinances and of the Illinois Plumbing Code. All connections and installations shall be made by a licensed plumber, and be inspected by the Village Water and Sewer Superintendent.
   (F)   Maintenance of water lines. The village shall replace all water mains when it has been deemed necessary to do so in order to maintain service in the village. The village shall limit its responsibility to maintaining water lines to the water mains and to the service lines up to the meter. The property owner shall be responsible for the service line from the meter into the premises served.
